Your academic grades, study timetable, and notes belong to you. Learn how Tutorym protects your educational records with local-first privacy safeguards.
At Tutorym, we believe that academic organizers should respect student dignity and privacy. Our platform was architected with a local-first philosophy: whenever possible, calculations, lecture alarms, and revision data remain exclusively on your device rather than being broadcast to external commercial data brokers.
We only gather the minimum dataset required to deliver a tailored academic experience:
We understand that academic standing is deeply personal. As a core engineering rule:
• Grades entered into the 5.0 CGPA Simulator remain strictly private to your device.
• We do not publish leaderboards or rankings based on individual CGPA scores.
• Your academic performance is never transmitted to prospective employers, faculty deans, or student peer groups without your explicit command.
When you save past questions, timetable schedules, or study notes for offline use, files are cached in a sandboxed application folder on your device. Tutorym does not inspect, read, or upload your private photos, personal media, or files from other applications.
To deliver reliable lecture reminders, Tutorym requires permission to schedule exact alarms via Android's AlarmManager API and display heads-up notifications. These notifications are generated locally on your handset and do not require internet access to fire.
We have never sold, monetized, or leased student contact information or academic records to third-party ad networks or credit bureaus. Tutorym is maintained as a focused educational utility.
All network communications between the Tutorym mobile application and our servers are encrypted using modern Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3). Sensitive credentials and tokens are secured using cryptographic salt and hash algorithms.
